DESCRIPTION:Esta fecha fue reconocida hasta 2010 como Día de la Raza y conmemoraba la llegada de Cristóbal Colón a América y la unión del Viejo Mundo con el Nuevo Mundo. Sin embargo\, en 2010 se modifica la denominación por el de Día del Respeto a  \nla Diversidad Cultural\, dotando a dicha fecha\, de un significado acorde al valor que asigna nuestra Constitución Nacional y diversos tratados y declaraciones de derechos humanos a la diversidad étnica y cultural de todos los pueblos.
